Description: Iranian national Shahrzad Mir-Qolikhan has been released after five years in US detention and has arrived in Tehran from Oman on Sunday night. On August 7, Mir-Qolikhan arrived in the Omani capital city of Muscat, where she reunited with her twin daughters and her mother after five years in US detention.
Her former husband, Mahmoud Seif, had been accused of trying to export night-vision goggles to Iran from Austria in violation of US sanctions against the Islamic Republic. She was detained and sentenced to five years in prison by a Florida federal court in the absence of her husband. Mir-Qolikhan consistently denied any wrongdoing.
In an exclusive interview with Press TV, Shahrzad Mir-Qolikhan talks about what she has gone through during her incarceration in US jails.
